when i pull the switch to make it go backwards it goes for about an inch and stops then i have to pull it again. but when i close it goes all the way back on a constant speed... so what can i do fix it, or what is the problem?

I'd think you'd take your car to the mb dealer and have it checked out. Easily several hundred dollars if not more.
