It's been a decade since the original car company finally started production in the US deep south and that means it's time for special edition model to celebrate. In September 1997 Mercedes-Benz starting building the ML 320 in Tuscaloosa Alabama. After a rough start that included complaints about poor build quality and sub-par materials, Mercedes made design changes that alleviated many of those problems. Now that the ML is into it's second generation as it celebrates it's tenth birthday, Mercedes has announced the ML 350 (http://autos.aol.com/mercedes-benz-m-class-2008:9579-overview) "Edition 10."
The anniversary edition gets all gussied up on the inside with black leather, birch, macadamia wood trim and an aluminum instrument cluster. Only 1,000 examples will be offered up in the US market with Obsidian Black or Arctic White paint, along with assorted trim pieces to set it apart from run of the mill MLs. The obligatory "Edition 10" label appears on exterior badges and on the floor mats inside. All the details are in the press release after the jump.
