i found info on the web to program the keys. It worked the first time on an old key, but not on the new key that i just purchased. Maybe they have a new way to program the new ones, can anyone help me? My old key can now lock and unlock the car, but the chip is burnt out and cannot start the car. the new key can start the car but the remote does not work. i have to carry both keys around now. I made an appointment with the dealer, but after waiting 1/2 hour, i left. they told me they would do it right away if i had an appointment. It took me 10secs to program the old key. They charge $65 to program this new one. I did not like to wait more than 1/2 hr for them to make $65 in 10 secs. i hope someone knows how to program these new keys.
i thought they should give me the same key as i had, which i was able to program myself in 10secs. but they gave me a different kind of key that the push button programming sequence did not work on.
but i did program the old key it myself, which had been out of sync for 2 years. i can tell anyone who wants to know how to program it. i just dont have the info for this new one. it is possible that all the new ones are made to sync only with their computers, and not by pushing the buttons in a certain sequence.
