I'm 19 years old, and I'm in the market for a new car. My mother and I test drove some hondas and some VW Jetta's (which I liked the best) We drove one 2008 Jetta (used) for around 16000 and one 2010 new for around 21,000 with the 1.6 apr. My uncles friend is selling a 2005 Mercedes C class 320 4 matic car for 15,500, and he wants me to get that. I am so uncomfortable with the idea. I feel like it's too flashy for me being so young, and only using the car for commuting back and forth from school every day is stupid. My mother looks at it like it's a deal made in heaven. However, there is NO warranty, and if anything happens to that car, to fix it would leave me broke. My mother and uncle basically told me that if I'm not to get the mercedes, I'd take her 2003 Camry and SHE'D drive the mercedes. I don't like her car, I find it VERY uncomfortable to drive being I'm so tall. I need good tips on how to get her to see that getting this car for me would be a silly decision. She says that her insurance shouldn't go up too high because she has had no claims. So I just want to hear feed back.

Trust me, I know how lucky I am to even have a car at this point, when some people have no roof over their head. So please, refrain from making me feel bad.
