I have a Mercedes A-class and it drives like a beaut! But literally overnight the following happened: when I turn left, the gears won't go into 3rd or 5th. When I turn right, it goes into ALL gears just fine. Can somebody explain this to me, as I had it at a Mercedes service garage and the mechanics don't have a clue and it frustrates me that they don't know. I've spoken to some people over the phone who say it might be that the gear plate is a bit worn out. So you see the gears are perfect, but just not when I make a left turn. Can somebody please please help me! Many thanks!!

Im going to assume its manual, the plastic links need replacing they cost about £10.
