I was wondering if changing the oil on a 2006 Mercedes E350 was easy enough to do it myself? If so, does anyone have any recommended reads or websites I should go to find out how to change the oil of my car myself? A step by step guide? Thanks.

Mercedes hates it when anyone else works on their cars except for themselves. You will need to buy the service manual for it as well as the special tools that you will need. Changing the oil on that car is much more labor intensive then a Camry since there is so much Gingerbread on that car. An oil change requires the removal of the engine protective shield/air dam underneath.
It really shouldnt be all that hard. If it does have a protective shield underneath all you will need to do is loosen the four or five screws on them. Check to see where the oil filter is, it may be a drop-in filter on top of the block. Then call local parts store to see if they have a filter for the car. Most times depending on the oil and filter you buy the price can lead up to where it would be for the dealership or sears, walmart, and sams automotive would charge.
