Default 15 year old Mercedes Benz s-class or new car?

My dad's mercedes broke down a few years ago, that thing is a tank and I really like it. He claims that it would cost the same amount of money to buy me a new car as it is to fix that one, and then I would be driving around in the "safest and coolest car" in south florida. I'm afraid that if he fixes the mercedes, he wont fix the interior, and the interior of that car is gross, old disgusting cracked leather. I would want to have the interior redone as well as fixing the car, but I don't think he would be willing to do that. Should I stick with the benz with the shitty interior or get a new car like a Prius?

Get a new car.Make sure it does not have a Mitsubishit engine. Some Chrysler products use their motor. They do not last.Otherwise get whatever car he can best afford. They all have some good warranties.I like the Chevrolet HHR. It has a powerful engine and gets 28MPG on the highway. Plus you can take a few friends and a bunch of camping gear or?

Buy a shitty new car instead. It's not just about the cost of fixing your car. Suppose you are waiting for green light at a busy intersection and your car goes dead. You will be blocking that intersection for at least half an hour and cause a major traffic jam. It's just embarrassing.

Oh dude, get a Pruis or a Honda Insight. Those cars are pretty sick.
