Default Would I have to get a Headlight Conversion Kit to get 8000k HID

Headlights on a 1998 Mercedes SLK230? Would I have to get a Headlight Conversion Kit to get 8000k HID Headlights on a 1998 Mercedes SLK230?
I didnt know if I could just put in the bulb or not.
If so how much would it cost and where is a good place to get it, perferably not online.

I think the SLK comes with optional HID headlights.

If yours is the HID version, you would only need to get a replacement bulb of the correct fitting. Alternative colour temperatures are harder to come by for a the factory fitted sizes, but they are around.

If you currently have the H7 halogen headlights, you will need to buy a HID conversion Kit with ballast units and bulbs suitable for your car.

I think you could just put it in its the same size as the orginal so it should be Ok
